Nothing Was Missing. It Was Only Waiting.

The Land Remembered
Five years ago, there was very little here. The rocks stayed; everything else took its time. First came the insects, then the grasses, then the trees, and then the birds and after that, life seemed to know what to do. Today, more than three hundred species share these five acres.
We simply happen to live among them.

Leopard Country
People come to Jawai because of the leopards.
And they should.
But Jawai has always been more than that. The Rabaris still move through these hills much as they always have. Tea is brewed over a fire, the shepherds return home at dusk, and somewhere among the rocks, the leopard begins its evening.

A Lodge That Belongs
Bijapur Lodge has six suites spread across five acres. Nothing here competes with the landscape, and thankfully, the landscape never tries to impress.
Days move slowly : lunch becomes tea, tea becomes stories, and stories somehow continue long after dinner.
